A few simple swaps can take your favourite snacks to new levels of nourishment.
Here are 7 snack ideas to tantalize your tastebuds!

Turmeric Chocolate Chia Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Chia Seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups Canned Coconut Milk (full fat)
  • 2 tsps Turmeric (ground)
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup (divided)
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Coconut Yogurt
  • 2 tbsps Cacao Powder

Directions:

    1. Mix the chia seeds, coconut milk, turmeric, and 2/3 of the maple syrup together. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to set.
    2. Meanwhile, mix the yogurt, cacao powder and remaining maple syrup together.
    3. Layer the chia pudding and yogurt into jars or serving bowls until all ingredients are used up. Enjoy!

Notes: 40 minutes, 6 ingredients, 3 servings

 

Air Fryer Salt & Vinegar Kale Chips

Ingredients:

  • 7 cups Kale Leaves (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup White Distilled Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Add all ingredients to a bowl. Massage the kale with your hands until all of the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Add the kale leaves to the air fryer. Cook for seven to 10 minutes, tossing regularly, until completely dried and crispy. Enjoy!

Notes: 15 minutes, 4 ingredients, 2 servings

 

Pumpkin Oat Energy Balls

Ingredients:

    • 1/3 cup Pureed Pumpkin
    • 2/3 cup Cashews (raw)
    • 1/4 cup Pitted Dates
    • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
    • 1/3 cup Oats (rolled)
    • 2 tsps Water

Directions:

    • Add all of the ingredients except for the water to a food processor. Process until you get a smooth texture with a few chunks of dates and nuts. Add the water if necessary to help the mixture stick together.
    • Use a one inch cookie scoop or a teaspoon to scoop out the mixture and roll it into balls. Continue until all of the mixture is used.
    • Store in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set. Enjoy!

Notes: 10 minutes, 6 ingredients, 7 servings

Chocolate Tahini Dates

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups Pitted Dates
  • 1/3 cup Tahini
  • 1 1/2 tsps Coconut Oil
  • 3/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt (flaky)

Directions:

  1. Arrange the dates onto a lined baking sheet with the cut side up. Add tahini into each date, approximately one teaspoon per date. Place in the fridge.
  2. Add the coconut oil and chocolate chips to a small saucepan over low heat. Continuously stir until the chocolate has melted. Pour it into a shallow bowl and let it cool for five minutes.
  3. Once the chocolate has slightly cooled, remove the dates from the fridge. Dip each date into the chocolate, making sure it is well coated. Let any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl and then transfer back to the baking sheet.
  4. Place the baking sheet back into the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes to let the chocolate harden. Remove from the fridge and sprinkle flaky salt all over the dates. Enjoy!

Cranberry and Tahini Granola Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Tahini
  • 1/4 cup Raw Honey
  • 2/3 cup Quick Oats
  • 3 tbsps Ground Flax Seed
  • 1/3 cup Dried Unsweetened Cranberries

Directions:

  1. Line a small baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the tahini and honey together. Add the oats, ground flax seed, and dried cranberries and mix well.
  3. Press the mixture into all corners of the baking dish with a spatula or another piece of parchment paper to create a smooth, even surface. Chill for 30 minutes before cutting into bars. Enjoy!

Coconut Yogurt & Hemp Stuffed Apple

Ingredients:

  • 1 Apple (cut in half, seeds and core removed)
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Coconut Yogurt
  • 2 tbsps Sunflower Seed Butter
  • 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon

Directions:

Place the apple halves onto a plate and evenly divide the coconut yogurt, sunflower seed butter, hemp seeds, and cinnamon onto each half. Enjoy!

 

Notes:  5 minutes, 5 ingredients, 1 serving

 

Date, Chia & Tahini Energy Balls

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Pitted Dates
  • 2 tbsps Tahini
  • 2 tbsps Chia Seeds
  • 2 tbsps Unsweetened Shredded Coconut

 

Directions:

  1. In a blender or food processor, add the dates, tahini, and chia seeds. Blend until smooth paste forms.
  2. Use a one-inch cookie scoop to scoop out the paste and roll it in your hands to create a ball. Continue until you have used up all of the paste.
  3. Roll each ball in shredded coconut until evenly coated. Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes and enjoy!
