Here is the recipe for my health-boosting, rejuvenating Glorious Green Juice:
Kale – 1 bunch
Lacinato Kale – 1 bunch
Swiss Chard – 1 bunch
Spinach – 1 bunch
Celery
Cucumber – 1 large
Zucchini – 2 medium
Lemon – 2
Parsley – 1 bunch
Buying organic adds to the spectacular health effects of juice, but it is not necessary. Gratifying Green Juice is a wonderful way to enhance health, gain energy and ensure that your diet is complete with phytonutrients, polyphenols, vitamins and minerals. I love how fresh my place smells when I make this amazing, healthy drink and am incredibly grateful for its abundant health benefits.
Here is a breakdown of the amazing properties of the immune-boosting ingredients:
Kale – Vitamins A, B, C, K and essential nutrients.
Chard – Vitams A, K, C, E, magnesium, manganese, iron & potassium.
Spinach – Vitamins A, C, K, magnesium, manganese, folate, riboflavin, calcium, potassium, iron & dietary fiber.
Cucumber – Vitamin K, minerals & water-rich (hydrating).
Zucchini – folate & potassium
Celery – Vitamin K, folate & dietary fiber.
Parsley – Vitamins A, C, K, flavoniods & antioxidants.
** If you find that 2 types of kale promote gas (oops!), you can leave out the regular kale and add romaine lettuce (aaah!) **
