At an average session rate of $150, HST adds $19.50 to the cost of each session. No other regulated providers of psychotherapy (Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Doctors, Nurses & Psychiatrists) have to charge tax in Ontario.
Only counsellors and psychotherapists, professionals specifically trained to provide this service, have to charge tax. This discrepancy makes no sense! It’s time to remove this financial barrier 🌟 You can find our petition on Leadnow.ca.
