During this time of uncertainty related to the Covid-19 virus, we are offering short term therapy free of charge to residents of Toronto & the GTA who have been adversely affected economically and lost employment due to the current Covid-19 situation. This is open to anyone without private insurance, who is out of work and requiring support during this challenging time. We currently have 6 spots available. Sessions will start on March 18th, be offered on a weekly basis and will end on April 30th, 2020.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a structured, short term approach that can be effective in treating anxiety and depression. The goal of these sessions is to help people manage stress and reduce anxious or depressive symptoms. CBT is talk therapy where clients identify and discuss challenging situations, thoughts and emotions, raise awareness of these often unconscious thought patterns, identify and transform negative thinking & improve emotional management.
All sessions will be conducted online through a safe, secure and compliant telehealth platform. Sessions are booked for 50 minutes.
Sessions will be conducted by Celeste Chong, a therapist in training who is in the process of completing her clinical training at Sunnyside Healing Arts and who is certified in CBT.
